The other night while perusing the aisles of the Walgreens beauty section, I found the new Wet ‘n’ Wild Beauty Army display! This collection has several limited edition palettes and nail polishes. Right away, this trio called Enlisting for Beauty caught my eye. It looks very warm toned in the photo due to the sun, but it is actually a cool-toned neutral trio along the lines of the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay. In holding up the trio next to Naked 2, I didn’t spot any obvious dupes, but I also didn’t swatch. Still, they are definitely in the same color family.
Here is is in the shade; as you can see, the cool tones really stand out more.
The eyelid shade is a satin finish taupe; it is in the gray family of taupes, which I love!
The crease shade is a semi-matte, cool-toned brown. The texture is a little stiff. It appears matte on the skin, but in the pan it appears to have some sparkle.
The brow bone shade is a light matte peach shade. It’s a great transition shade, and naturally, for the brow bone.
This trio is $3, just like all of the other Wet ‘n’ Wild trios. Since these new palettes are limited edition, they will probably sell out quickly, so if you see them, it is best not to wait if you don’t have to. I wish that Enlisting for Beauty was part of the regular line up. With my personal preferences, this is better than Walking on Eggshells, because I prefer darker neutrals, and this trio isn’t frosty or shiny.
Sorry these photos look so inconsistent, but you can really see how lighting impacts the colors!
This is definitely worth picking up, and maybe even grabbing a back up if you like it!
