Makeup for the Bride

My sister’s wedding has come and gone, and she was an absolutely beautiful bride! I had many roles for the big day…makeup artist, maid of honor, photographer, and her general personal assistant! It was a very small and quite informal wedding, as they plan on having a bigger party for the family next summer. I am obviously not a makeup artist and have never done wedding makeup before (besides my own), but I think the final product was perfect and the bride was very happy with it, which is what matters! Despite the rain, snow, and wind (it was an outdoor wedding), she was still glowing at the end of the night (see picture with dog).

What I used:

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer 001
Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in Shade 4.0
Revlon Bronzed and Chic Bronzer
MAC The Perfect Cheek Blush
MAC Lightscapade Mineralize Skinfinish (as a highlight)
Urban Decay Primer Potion – Original
Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette- Shades Toasted, Hustle, Sidecar, and Virgin
L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes (Waterproof)
Buxom Lip Gloss in Katie
MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil in Taupe
Maybelline Black Eyeliner (She is obsessed with her eyeliner, so she supplied and applied it!)
Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray

Brushes used:

Sigma F88 Flat Angled Kabuki (foundation)
Real Techniques Stippling Brush (foundation
Real Techniques Large Powder Brush (bronzer)
EcoTools Angled Mini Kabuki Brush (blush)
Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush (blending)
Sonia Kashuk Crease Brush (eyes)
Urban Decay Shadow Brush (eyes)
ELF Flat Top Brush (highlighting)

What I’m really thrilled about, besides the fact that she loved it, is that the Urban Decay foundation was a perfect match for her skin. My sister had been tanning before the wedding, and I just happened to hang onto that last sample of foundation! Combined with the bronzer and some blending, everything looked natural between the transition from jaw to neck, so it was meant to be!
