Swatches left to right: MUFE #25, Sonia Kashuk Taupe brow pencil, MAC Impeccable Taupe brow pencil, Wet ‘n’ Wild Brow Kit in Ash
Ah, the never ending saga of eyebrow products continues! I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow Waterproof Eyebrow Corrector.
Aqua Brow is a highly pigmented gel that enhances and reshapes natural brows. Its superior waterproof formula creates a strong hold while its high concentration of pigments allows for intense color payoff that will not fade. Aqua Brow’s creamy gel texture gives an even, natural result that will last all day.
This is definitely different than any other brow product I have tried. Normally, I stick to pencils for precision and control; however, I do love the Wet ‘n’ Wild brow kit and am expanding my horizons, especially since I’ve found that pencils tend to not last all day and benefit from a touch up here and there.
I applied this with an angled Real Techniques brush by simply squirting a small bit onto the brush. A small brush is definitely needed to use this product, otherwise the application won’t be very precise. Like OCC lip tars, you really only need a smidgen of product to do both brows.
This product lasts all day and looks very natural when applied! What I love about it is that it doesn’t look harsh or forced like pencils sometimes do.
I am extremely fussy about what color I use for my eyebrows. My natural brow color is quite cool toned and very dark brown. Because of this I gravitate toward taupe shades and avoid warm browns. I like the color of #25 Ash overall, especially since it tends to dry a little darker than the color in the tube.
MUFE Aqua Brow is $20 for .23 ounces; for how long this will last, it’s not a bad price, but something you will definitely want to test out and swatch in person first if possible. Another option is to find a blog review or YouTube review of someone with coloring close to yours.
Overall, what I like the best about MUFE Aqua Brow is that it looks so natural! It will take some more time for me to determine if this is HG material, but so far I really like it!
