Smashbox Be Discovered Palette Swatches and FOTD

Last spring, the Smashbox Be Discovered palette was released. I can recall seeing it online in an article about it and just falling in love with it. At $44, I was in no rush to get it and figured if I ever saw it on sale that I might consider it. Back track to very early January and what did I find at Sephora? The Be Discovered palette for $15. Sometimes it just pays to wait for something!

This palette has eight shades: Bliss, Rosewater, Opal, Mist, Adobe, Champagne, Pebble, and Lilac. The colors are all very light and work well with each other; you definitely won’t have any matching issues with this set.

The colors are housed in a pink box with a magnetic closure. It’s a very sturdy palette. Funnily enough, the swatches are not as pigmented as when you actually apply the shades to the lids; I think this is because I applied the swatches with a disposable foam applicator and applied the shadows on myself with a MAC brush.

The shades are silky and easy to blend, typical for what you would expect from a brand like Smashbox. Because these are such light shades, I recommend wearing an eyeshadow primer for more staying power.

I ended up wearing a few shades from this palette today and really like it. It brightens my eyes and makes me look more awake! The shades are also very buildable. It is definitely worth popping into Sephora to see if you can find a deal like I did!
