Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Velvet

You may remember I mentioned Pink Velvet in my February 2013 Favorites post. This is definitely one of my favorite lipsticks, quite possibly my second favorite of all time (MAC Creme d’Nude being my favorite ever). While I do consider myself more of a gloss girl, when I find a lipstick I love, I REALLY love it. Pink Velvet is one of those shades!

The Super Lustrous line has a great selection of shades, and these are by far my favorite lipsticks from the drugstore. Pink Velvet is a rosy pink shade. This color is so retro to me; it just says “classic” when I see it!

Application: I have no issues with the application of this lipstick. It is SO smooth, definitely one of the better Revlon shades out there. It is very opaque and only one swipe is needed for full color.

Feel: Soft and creamy, Pink Velvet is very easy to wear and not drying on the lips. It also has a bit of a gloss sheen to it because it is a creme finish.

Color: This color is so feminine and beautiful. If you love pink shades like I do, this is a must have!

Staying Power: The staying power with this shade for me lasted a few hours, so it will need touch-ups faster than a higher end lipstick or a stain. It doesn’t settle into lines either.

Price: $5-$7 at most drugstores and convenience stores.

Here are some shade comparisons; in person, Revlon Teak Rose is a lot darker and more red. Pink Me Up from Maybelline is a much lighter pink and more neutral.

What do you think of this shade? If you have any pink lipstick recommendations, I would love to hear them!
