Hey everyone! It feels like I haven’t blogged in FOR.EV.ER. I guess in internet world, five days is forever! I’ve just been incredibly busy at work lately and had some family obligations, plus I’m getting ready to go to Chicago for five days! Since my cousin lives with us and offered to watch our fur babies, I am tagging along while my hubby goes to some work training. I’ll still be working during this time, but hopefully I will be able to do some fun stuff too! I am DEFINITELY going shopping, especially since my sweet hubby surprised me with an early birthday present: a gift card to MAC! It was so generous and sweet, and of course the card was the best part…he’s just a romantic guy.
Anyway, enough of the random life updates, as it’s time to talk about this perfume!
Cherry in the Air is a limited edition fragrance from Escada. I’m not a huge perfume person, but I love sweet scents, so I just had to check out this one and it is right up my alley! My husband also agreed.
Summer is for fun, enjoying life, and taking in the fresh air as you go. Riding a bicycle in the French countryside, you stop on the way to pick some cherries and share them with loved ones. The sweet cherry taste brings to mind the pleasurable, breathtaking, and out-of-this-world feeling of falling in love, and that special summer when it came about.
Notes: Black Cherry, Raspberry, Mandarin, Marshmallow, Gardenia, Coconut, Sandalwood, Oakwood.
Cute, right? The packaging is cute too. The scent is sweet but not cloying or overpowering. It’s still light and fresh. That said, those who don’t like sweet scents may not like this, since I find that people either love or hate sugary fragrances.
While I love the scent, the staying power is VERY disappointing for the price. I will go through these in no time! The .25 ounce bottle is $20, while the 1.6 ounce bottle is $56. There’s also a 1 ounce bottle available at some retailers for $42 (I have this one as I had a great coupon and got it for less). When I spray this onto my skin, it’s gone in a couple of hours. Because of that, I don’t feel that this scent is worth the price tag, especially when I have body sprays that last all day long and they are a fraction of the price. I’ve read some other reviews and this seems to be a common trend, which is unfortunate because the smell is truly divine.
