Even though I’m happy with my current concealer routine, my little tube of Cargo concealer is getting lighter all the time. In a quest for concealer perfection, I did some research about the MAC Conceal and Correct palettes and people seemed to be raving about them! What I like is that they have a variety of shades, and also pink and yellow corrector shades, making this super versatile! My problem was what shade to get and I really debated between light and medium. Ultimately I chose light because if something is too light I can always use it as a highlighter. Too light is easier to work with than too dark.
The concealer palettes come in Light, Medium, and Dark, and are $40 each. Yes, it’s a lot, but keep in mind these were designed for professionals in mind. Still, I find this incredibly useful for the Average Jane like myself, especially since different parts of the face often require different concealers!
The concealer palettes come with six shades. Light has NC15, W10, NC20, NW20, pale yellow, and pale pink. Each shade is extremely creamy and easy to blend. The consistency is similar to MAC paint pots, so it’s thin and buildable. Coverage will also vary depending on what kind of brush you use. So far I’ve only used my hands to pick the product up, and then blended with a brush after.
The correctors in this kit are also handy, especially since I tend be more red in the cheeks. Another major perk of this palette is that the shades can be mixed to create other shades. This palette also has SPF 35 and is incredibly long wearing. This concealer lasts eight hours no problem on my skin.
Overall, this is concealer is just perfect for me. 🙂
