Milani recently reformulated their lipstick line. My husband bought one for me for Valentine’s Day (Fruit Punch, coming soon!), and I picked up this one in Nude Creme. The line is broken down into three shade categories: Reds, pinks, and nudes. They’re $5.49 in drugstores and probably have the best lipstick formula you can find there! I was very impressed and can see why people are raving about them.
The lipsticks are housed in a chic gold tube and it has a little color on the bottom so you can see what the shade looks like. This spot isn’t accurate on all shades, especially in the nude family. The colors on the bottom are generally lighter than what is in the tube, but we can’t expect it to be perfect when comparing plastic to a product, right?
This looks pretty dark, but it is actually comparable to some of the lighter nude shades from MAC, like Blankety. If you want a MAC nude but don’t want to invest in the $15 price tag, Milani is comparable in comfort and application. These lipsticks are incredibly smooth and very pigmented, and really creamy. They feel a lot more luxurious than the price tag reflects, that’s for sure!
Nude Creme is the first swatch, followed by MAC Honeylove and MAC Blankety. As you can see, they are in the same color range, and Nude Creme is a good alternative if you don’t want to pay MAC prices. No, they are not dupes, but Nude Creme is a beautiful pink toned nude. You can see in the swatch how it looks a lot lighter in the swatch than the other photo above.
At $5.49, you can’t go wrong with this shade! You will get pigmentation in one swipe. Milani also carries lip liners in coordinating shades.
Have you tried these yet?
