NYX Peekaboo Neutral Lip Liner

NYX lip liners are definitely a drugstore gem. Not only are they only $3.49 at Ulta, they are long lasting, pigmented, and very comparable to MAC lip liners. The NYX lip liners come in a huge array of colors, including several nude and natural type shades. They’re great for wearing with your favorite lipsticks, but they also look just as good alone and paired with a clear gloss, or paired with a more pigmented gloss.

Peekaboo Neutral is a brown/beige based pink. It looks more pink on the pencil and the brown tones come out on the lips. This is a great lip liner for me because I have so many nude lipsticks! That alone makes this pencil highly versatile for me, but I also feel the color is very flattering with my skin tone. This pencil is definitely a color that would be universally flattering as well!

The NYX lip pencils do need to be sharpened; however, there is another lip liner in the NYX family that is a little more expensive, but in the twist up variety. I’m mentioning this because a lot of people don’t like having to sharpen pencils, but this isn’t something that bothers me. Staying power is great; depending on what I’m eating or drinking, staying power is at least a few hours.

The natural pink tones are more apparent in this shot!

Swatches: NYX Peekaboo Neutral, MAC Subculture, Wet ‘n’ Wild Willow, Too Faced Perfect Lips

I definitely recommend the NYX lip pencils! I have several shades and they are comfortable to wear, especially with a little bit of balm applied first. They are long lasting too, and you can often find them on sale at Ulta. Peekaboo Neutral is also sometimes found as Peekaboo Natural; however, I believe they are the same shade!
