Flower Kiss Stick High Shine Lip Color in Morning Glory

If you follow me on Instagram (melissjoychi is my username!), you may have seen a photo of a small beauty haul I made last weekend. I purchased three more items from the Flower beauty line, and the Too Faced brow kit. This is my first lipstick product from the Flower line, known as “kiss sticks”. I’m not sure why this would be considered a “kiss stick”, but whatever, it sounds pretty, right? 🙂 I picked up the shade Morning Glory, which is a lovely nude pink!

This lipstick comes in a sleek black tube with rose gold detailing, and a little window on the bottom where you can see the color. To be honest, I can’t stand how the tube bulges out at the top, but it is way less obnoxious than some of the other packaging of the Flower line.

My favorite thing about Morning Glory is the shade. I just can’t get enough of these pinky nude shades. This color is a tricky one to pull off though, not unlike MAC’s white-based pale shades, or Revlon’s Primrose. It has that “chalky” shade quality to it that some nudes have.

The quality of this lipstick is lovely! It is moisturizing and not drying at all; it is just as moisturizing as Revlon’s lip butters. I didn’t notice any weird smell or taste either, which is always nice for a lip product! Staying power is pretty average. It isn’t going to stick through eating, drinking, and definitely not kissing. I would compare it to the Revlon lip butters in the staying power category in that these need to be reapplied every two to three hours, depending on what you’re doing.

The coverage is amazing: this color is so pigmented in just one swipe! It also goes on very smoothly since the product is so creamy.

I am really pleased with Morning Glory and definitely want to check out some other kiss stick shades! This product is $7 and well worth the price; unfortunately, Flower is only available at Wal-Mart stores or on Wal-Mart’s website. Still, Morning Glory is one of the prettiest nudes I have some across and definitely worth checking out if you can!

  1. I bought a Flower lipstick awhile back and thought it was drying. It was the white tube. Maybe I should try it again.

  2. i love this shade! and i was also a little turned off from the flower lipsticks because i haven’t heard the best reviews on the one line but i’ll definitely have to check this one out!

Nice shade. Doesn’t it make your face look pale? I always fear that very light colors make my lips less “expressive”.

I am not someone who complains on the smell of most cosmetics…I hear reviews of them and I’m not even noticing a smell BUT….These are horrible to me… I mean I love the color of the and the nude nuances one…both really good nudes for light to med cool tones people. But that smell…also I haven’t notice it being drying because majority of my huge lipstick collection are matte (including the color flamingo flower in the white tube which I really like the feel of because it doesn’t feel heavy like some) but when applying there like rough..not like sandpaper I don’t feel it ones it’s actually though.
