Current Highlighter Favorites!

HL

I swear, highlighting is the secret (or not so secret?) thing to keep me looking glowy and refreshed. There are so many amazingly beautiful highlights out there, including the four that I’m going to show you here. These are a handful that have been in my rotation lately, with one in particular that I use at least five days out of the week!

1. MAC Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish– I have been wearing this nearly daily since….February. February! I can’t get enough of it! Though described as “soft peach nude with multidimensional shimmer”, I find it more pink than peach, maybe a hint of rose. This is unfortunately a limited edition product, but hopefully it will be released again.

HL32. Tarte Amazonian Clay Shimmering Powder in Champagne– If you’re afraid of highlighters being glitter bombs or emphasizing your pores, get this one. The shimmer in this powder is so fine, that if you wanted to, you could wear a light dusting all over your face (which I have done) and not just on areas you want highlighted.

3. Becca Pressed Shimmer Powder in Nefertiti– I did a full review on this product here. It is a very finely milled golden pink powder. This is very flattering with my skin tone.

HL4MAC, Tarte, Becca, Josie Maran

4. Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer- I love this product. It’s a gorgeous rose gold/bronze toned liquid highlighter. My bottle is the .5 ounce size and it says that it is limited edition, but I’m not sure if that’s because it was part of a kit. I might get the full size-bottle since I do love it! The only thing that is a little bothersome is that the pump puts out too much product, so I usually end up using a little bit on my collarbones if there’s extra product. I apply this with a stippling brush since it is so pigmented.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your favorite highlighters?

  1. I like Absolutely Invisible Candlelight Pressed Powder, which is more of a powder than a highlighter, but so pretty!
