Studio M is a brand that I’ve only seen sold by Meijer, which makes sense since it is their house brand, not unlike Up & Up at Target. They carry makeup, brushes, beauty tools, nail polish, and other beauty odds and ends. I bought this brush out of curiosity to see how it would perform compared to my MAC 168 large angled contour brush. I actually cannot compare the two since the Studio M brush isn’t as wide and fluffy, but this brush still has some perks.
I paid about $3.60 for this brush when it was on sale. The handle is short compared to MAC or Sigma brushes, but I do like the length. I don’t think this brush is ideal for blush since the head of the brush is on the slim side; however, it has three uses that I love it for: highlighting, contouring, and applying powder to set my under eye concealer. It picks up product nicely and is easy to clean.
The bristles of the brush are very soft. So far the quality seems decent, but at such a low price point, I imagine this brush will likely not last long. Of course, I could be wrong; it might be one of those freak brushes that lasts FOREVER! I love when that happens. 🙂 Anyway, at this price point, I think this brush is worth investing in if you have a Meijer in your area!
