Sephora has been slowly releasing the Ariel collection online; by now, the collection should also be in stores. I know there was a huge frenzy in how these items were released, due to everything selling out quickly. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few things: the rollerball, storybook palette, and the mirror. I was pretty excited about the mirror since this is going to be the last Disney/Sephora collaboration, and I didn’t get either of the previous mirrors.
Kiss the Girl Eau de Parfum comes in two sizes: the rollerball and a 1.7 ounce bottle. I opted for the rollerball since it was a blind buy, and the bottle is just so pretty! It is a beautiful aqua shade and reads “true love is beyond words” in silver. It also has some seaweed designs on it. I hope I can get the cap off of this because I really want to use this again after the perfume is gone. The packaging is truly a work of art!
Now for the actual perfume: I like it, but it isn’t my favorite. It is definitely a fresh, aquatic scent, per Sephora’s description:
Feel the passion of the moment with Ariel’s Kiss the Girl fragrance and let it transform you. Invigorating bursts of bergamot and crisp, wet cucumber are brought to life by a refreshing spray of ozonic accord. Waves of watery notes splash over an alluring blend of wild lilac and starfruit. Cool white musk fuses with warm sandalwood and sensual velvet sensations of ambergris ensure you make the moment last.
I’m not getting the sandalwood, musk, or the starfruit, but the watery notes and bergamot are definitely prevalent. I like the scent, but it just does not last on me, which is always disappointing! With that regard, I’ll go through this quickly.
Now for the mirror! Allow me to bombard you with photos:
Needless to say, the mirror is incredible. It is SO sturdy and truly more beautiful in person. I thought all was lost on this mirror, but I GOT THE LAST ONE at my Sephora. I’m so glad that I did, because it is going to make a nice keepsake for someone someday, maybe my little niece.
Did you get anything from the Ariel collection? I am so disappointed they are not going to be doing these collections anymore, but I guess it makes them that much more special.
