MAC Liqueur Lipglass!

MAC recently released one of their new collections called ‘Indulge’. This is a fall collection, and everything is incredibly rich looking when it comes to the colors. This collection wasn’t really on my radar, but I did purchase a few things, including this lipglass in Liqueur. Described as a “shimmering taupe”, I couldn’t resist!

This color is not something I would normally go for, but I LOVE how different it is from anything else that I have! It is a red-toned brown shade packed with shimmer. Very bronze. The shimmer is not gritty at all, and this is actually quite comfortable on the lips.

liq5The shimmer is also quite subtle. This is a repromoted shade, and not permanent. This shade is on the warm side, so I’m not sure how it would look on those with very cool skin tones. You may want to see if you can swatch it in person. At the same time, there might be enough brown to pull it in the neutral direction. I think this is a great shade for fall and will definitely transition nicely into the winter months, but then again, I’m not one for color rules. 😉

liq4Wearing Liqueur!

Sometimes you just need to take a chance and get a color outside of the norm, which is what I did with Liqueur. While it isn’t daring by any means, it’s not my typical creamy baby pink type shades that I go for (okay, who am I kidding? ALL OF THE PINKS!!!!). This is a great color for fall, and it also lasts a long time on me; I wore this for several hours without it fading, and it seems to be more comfortable than other lipglasses I have, and less sticky. I love it!
