This weekend I was able to snap up a preview vial of the latest scent from Bath and Body Works, Amber Blush. This is a delicious scent and right up my alley. As soon as I saw the word “blush”, I assumed it had a champagne vibe and I was happily right! I can’t wait until this is available in stores and in bigger sizes, which it is scheduled for September 9th.
This is definitely not a one note fragrance. Check out how this scent breaks down according to BBW:
- Top Notes: Sparkling Bergamot, Juicy Mandarin, Raspberry Champagne
- Mid Notes: Jasmine, Gardenia Petals, Star Anise, Apricot Nectar, Magnolia Blossom
- Dry Notes: Creamy Vanilla Suede, Crystalized Amber, Golden Sandalwood, Soft Musk
The raspberry champagne is very prominent in this scent; however, when it dries down the warmer notes of vanilla and amber soften up the champagne’s sharpness. The musk is very, very light. If you don’t like musk, this isn’t a strong one. You’re left with a scent that is soft, feminine, and sophisticated. It is definitely one of BBW’s more complex fragrances. To me, this is a sexy scent. I knew this would be a hit with my husband, and I was right. One sniff at this little vial and he agreed that it does smell delicious.
Though sweet, it is not overbearingly so. Unfortunately, it IS limited edition like all of my other favorite scents at BBW (I’m looking at you, Lemon Vanilla). Amber Blush is currently available in a .24 ounce preview size for $3, both in stores and online. I may have to go back for another sample vial, because I’m really loving this scent!
Have you tried Amber Blush yet? What do you think of it?
