NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls ($25) is one of the more unique lip products that I have. I can’t think of anything quite like this. It’s almost like a lip paste…a very long lasting and comfortable paste at that. Upon first wear, you may hate this product, but there are a few reasons to give it another chance.
The product itself is very sticky to the touch, and feels a bit thick. That said, when you blend it out onto your lips, it is very comfortable and not heavy at all. The stickiness also fades when it’s on your lips. It has a shiny, glossy finish. The only downside for some is that the pot is quite deep. It would work best with a lip brush, especially if you have long fingernails. Mine are quite short, so this wasn’t an issue for me.
Chelsea Girls is a gorgeous pink nude shade, which is what drew me to this product. The color is definitely a favorite of mine since I love nude lips that are pink toned. I’ve read a lot of reviews that complain about the smell, but mine is not heavily scented at all, so I don’t know if it has been revamped in that regard. That said, I’m also not picky about scents. NARS Lip Lacquer doesn’t dry out my lips and it doesn’t accentuate dry spots (thank goodness for me).
This is the most expensive lip product I’ve ever purchased, and I would definitely buy it again! Because it is so concentrated, I expect that this little pot will last a long time.
Have you tried any of the NARS Lip Lacquers?
