Deep Evergreen and Plum Full Face Tutorial

Hello! One of my favorite parts of fall are the rich jewel tones that are always in season! This makeup tutorial makes use of those shades, including an emerald green and some plum-based shades. This is a full face tutorial, so I used a LOT of products, where I usually try to keep things simple. This look would be great for a night out or a party since the eye look is pretty bold.

Beauty Blender sponge
EcoTools bronzer brush
MAC 239 brush
MAC 217 brush
Stila 28 brush (double-ended)
Kat Von D smudge brush
Kevyn Aucoin eyelash curler
Studio M Angled brush (not pictured)

Phew! Let’s get started!

1- After moisturizing, apply your face primer. I used Pur Minerals correcting primer in the peach shade. I love this because it corrects the redness in my face (really important since I had just finished running and showering!).

2- Apply Milani eye primer. I used my finger, and like to apply eye primer before doing face work, so it has a little bit of time to set.

3- Next, take the Beauty Blender sponge and apply foundation. I am really loving the Boots No. 7 matte foundation. It is a little light for me, but nothing a bit of bronzer can’t fix.

4- Apply brow pencil and brow gel to eyebrows.

5- Apply concealer to under eye area and blend. I really like the Match Perfection concealer because it is so lightweight. I did not apply concealer to any other parts of my face, but you can as needed.

6- Time to get started on the eyes! Using the rounded smudger side of the Stila brush, apply NARS Coconut Grove to the outer thirds of the eyelid, leaving the middle blank.

7- With the Kat Von D smudge brush, apply Eat, Love across the crease. It doesn’t look good here, and that’s okay! Basically, we are creating a frame right now.

8- Time for the star of the show: Makeup Geek Enchanted pigment! With the MAC 239 brush, dip into pigment and tap off the excess, then pat onto the lid.

9- Going back to the Kat Von D brush and Eat, Love, apply a little more over the original line to bring out the color by deepening it.

10- Now we’re going to blend and finish off the eyeshadows. Taking the 217 brush, dip into MAC Exposed eyeshadow and blend a little bit above Eat, Love for a smooth transition to the brow bone.

11- Using the same brush, dip into Bare Minimum and apply to the brow bone, and blend down as needed. Keeping with the 217, dip into MAC Nylon and tap onto the inner corner of the eye for a highlight.

12- Going back to the Stila brush, use the eye liner end and apply NYX Gel Liner to the top lash line, and half of the lower lash line. Flip the brush over and smudge out the lower lash line. Because this side of the brush will still have some residue from Coconut Grove on it, you’ll have an easy way to set the liner without going back to the shadow again.

13- Apply Psychedelic Sister to the waterline for a pop of color.

14- To finish the eyes, curl lashes and apply Diorshow Lash Maximizer, followed by Too Faced Lashgasm. Primer isn’t necessary; however, I am liking this sample I have of it!

A6The finished eye!

15- Now it’s time to finish the rest of the face! With an angled brush (I used a Studio M brush), apply Accentuate to the under eye area to set the concealer.

16- Using the EcoTools bronzer brush, apply NARS Sin to the cheeks, starting light and building up. This blush is amazing…perfect for fall and winter.

17- With the same brush, tap off the excess and dip into Whisper of Gilt. Apply to the tops of cheekbones and touch upon the bridge of the nose, and fan out on the forehead just above the bridge of the nose. I also dabbed a little on my chin.

18- Press setting powder (Maybelline Dream Matte) onto skin to set everything. I then used the EcoTools bronzing brush again to apply Sun Dipped on the perimeter of my face, just for some subtle color.

19- Finally, apply MAC Syrup lipstick. You’re done!

That’s the finished look! Enjoy! 🙂

I adore you Pink Lady, but I think we have very different styles, I would consider this a subdued daytime look. But when it comes to make-up I am a less is less and more is better kind of girl. You look beautiful in your pictures. :]
