No, I have not abandoned Lipstick Week! 🙂 Today I’m showing my top five Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. These are the best lipsticks in the drugstore as far as I’m concerned. The range is huge in color and texture variety; PLUS they are bringing back some older shades in 2014, including one from the 1960s, which I am really excited about (Jungle Peach). Anyway, here are my top five with swatches!
In order of swatches:
Primrose– I have a whole post about this lipstick, but this is still favorite. It’s a creamy, cool-toned pinky lavender, and one of the most popular shades in the line.
Cherries in the Snow– When the MAC Marilyn collection was released, people kept saying this was a dupe for Love Goddess. NO, no no no. Love Goddess is a dupe of THIS. Cherries in the Snow is an iconic shade that has been around since the 1950s. MAC, you duped Revlon with this one. I also have a post about this shade here.
Pink Velvet– Another one where I have an entire post dedicated to it! This color is so pretty and flattering. It’s a very classy pink that anyone could wear.
Pink Pout– Continuing the trend of lipsticks that I’ve blogged about, you can see my Pink Pout post here. This is a cool-toned, matte pink. Supposedly a dupe of MAC Snob, but I do not own Snob.
I had a hard time picking the last favorite, but ultimately went with Rose Velvet. This color is so womanly and beautiful to me. I think it would look incredible on those with deeper skin tones. It is brown-toned, but very sophisticated.
Do you have any favorites from this lipstick line?
