MAC Iridescent Loose Powder in Golden Bronze

GB2

Over the weekend, my husband and I were in the vicinity of the CCO (Cosmetics Company Outlet), so of course I politely asked him to stop there. Despite having been there just a week earlier, he indulged in my request and I’m so happy that he did, because I picked up this beautiful powder: MAC Iridescent Loose Powder in Golden Bronze. Why aren’t more people raving about how fantastic this is? Seriously???

DESCRIPTION:

Iridescent Powder is a finely milled mixture of Mica and pigments which gives the skin a beautiful sheen. It can be used on its own or mixed into other products like foundations or moisturizers to enhance their iridescent qualities. Designed to apply easily and uniformly without streaking and caking, it blends beautifully and can be applied on bare skin or over foundation.

Yes, it’s all true. This powder is quite lovely and the color is so beautiful!

MAC’s iridescent powders come in two shades: Silver Dusk, and Golden Bronze. Silver Dusk (which I also have) is more cool toned. That said, I think just about anyone could wear either of these powders.

Though I’ve been using it for highlighting, this is a versatile product. You can buff it on the body wherever you want to highlight, and you’ll be left with a beautiful sheen. You can also add it to moisturizers for some added glow. It is so finely milled that it just melts into the skin while blending.

Here are some swatch comparisons; sorry for the goosebumps, but I was freezing! 🙂 All of these are powder highlighters except for the Josie Maran one.

Left to right: MAC Golden Bronze, Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer, MAC Whisper of Guilt, Laura Mercier Spellbound, Physicians Formula Wakiki Beach (all shades blended together).

Golden Bronze is very soft and silky; the Physicians Formula feels downright gritty next to it! Despite being a warm-toned bronze shade, it doesn’t go onto the skin in a streaky way. I fully expected to have some sort of reddish brown streak running across my face when I applied it, but it isn’t like that at all. It’s very easy to apply!

This powder retails for $25 at MAC, but I purchased mine for $17.50 from the CCO. I recommend checking it out if you have one close by! This is definitely going to be my current highlighter obsession and will probably be in my October favorites! 🙂

This has been discontinued and I’ve searched everywhere for this! Do you have any ideas on where I can purchase?
