Hello! I was in Walgreens one day and happened upon this Shimmer Eyeshadow Primer from the Wet ‘n’ Wild Fergie line. I believe this is limited edition. The writing on the tube is rose gold, so I assumed the product inside would be pretty. Having read rave reviews about this primer, I decided to give it a try since it was also on sale!
I have to say that this primer does stay all day long. It sets fairly quickly as well, so work fast when applying it to the lids. I’m glad I picked the shimmer variety, because it is SO beautiful! This is so pretty that I would definitely wear this alone as a shadow. The color isn’t rose gold, but more of a cool-toned lavender pink. I don’t have anything quite like it!
The opacity didn’t pick up as well as I’d like on camera. Left to right: Fergie Shimmer primer, MAC Frozen Violet paint pot, Jouer Organza cream eyeshadow, Maybelline Inked in Pink Color Tattoo, and Tarte cream eyeshadow in Seashell.
Performance wise, this is a great primer! It does what it says and is very long-wearing. I’m happy that there are finally some great drugstore primers out there that rival high end primers now! Between this one, Milani, and ELF, there are at least a few good ones to try (not to mention the Maybelline Color Tattoos).
Still, my favorite thing about this Shimmer primer is the color. I even contemplated a back up of this, but a little goes a long way and I’d rather not waste it! I found this primer at Walgreens. I hope that they keep bringing this back with other collections, because it is amazing! The regular price of this primer is $5, but you can also check for sales (I paid around $4 for mine on sale).
Have you tried this primer or the original variety? What do you think of it?
