Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Bejeweled

Fans of milky pink lip glosses will rejoice with this new addition from the Revlon Evening Opulence collection. I’m not sure if this is limited edition, but the Revlon website says that these are “three new shades” and it didn’t say anything about being limited edition on the tags. Bejeweled is a sheer, milky pink/lavender shade that is actually extremely similar to NARS Born This Way Larger Than Life lip gloss.

The formula is very soft and comfortable, just like the rest of the Colorburst line. Bejeweled isn’t opaque and is not buildable to the opacity that you can see in the tube. There’s no shimmer in this shade. I think it works best as a layering shade over nude and pink lipsticks.

I have to admit that I was a little disappointed that this wasn’t more opaque. Bellini, another Revlon Colorburst shade, is more opaque and is another pink milky shade. Bejeweled has lilac undertones and the color is almost exactly the same as Born This Way; however, the NARS gloss is not nearly as sheer, so I wouldn’t consider them dupes by any means.

I don’t think this color is a must have, but I will get use out of it. For a more opaque color in this same family, the NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair is a nice cool-toned pink.

Have you tried Bejeweled or spotted the Evening Opulence collection yet?

Revlon makes consistently good lip glosses. Haven’t ever tried one (from any of their lines) that I haven’t liked.
