Black Radiance Baked Blush in Warm Berry

If you’re looking for a great drugstore blush, I highly recommend checking into the baked blushes from Black Radiance! These are under $5 (I paid $3.50 for mine when it was on sale) and highly pigmented! The Black Radiance line is owned by Wet ‘n’ Wild and marketed toward women with deeper skin tones. The color selection in their line is gorgeous!-Very rich. It might be difficult to find, but I find this brand at Meijer. Warm Berry is the shade I used in yesterday’s tutorial. 🙂

Warm Berry is an interesting shade. It is deep reddish coral berry color; very rich and saturated. Literally, all you need to do is TAP your brush against it quickly and you’ll have enough color. Because of how pigmented it is, it can be difficult to use. It is super easy to go overboard with this blush. I certainly did a couple of times!

On the left is a heavy swatch, and on the right it is blended out a bit. Keep in mind this is in full sun, and the color is still that saturated! The texture of this blush isn’t the best; it can be difficult to blend at times, but nothing a good kabuki can’t handle. If you want a highly pigmented blush, this is a great option that is super affordable and worth a try.

Using cosmetics from lines targeted towards women with deeper skintones is my solution to not being able to afford the higher end blushes that have better color pigmentation. I swear, some of my drugstore blushes take four or five or six brush swipes to get a good deep color. Subtle is very rarely my cup of tea, so I will definitely be looking for this shade.

I know what you mean. Most drugstore blushes just do not cut it. Have you tried Milani baked blushes?

I have been browsing the entire Milani line lately. Honestly, it may be my memory is lacking or Milani just hasn’t stood out to me much, but I never noticed them among the drugstore brands. Have you heard of the brand Jesse’s Girl? I saw it the other day at the Rite Aid and swore up and down it wasn’t there the last time I went in. The only trouble is remembering the last time I was there.

I have heard of Jessie’s Girl, but I’ve never tried it before!
