Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Swatches!

MUG1

Sorry for the very randomly angled photo! 🙂 I am so excited about these Makeup Geek eyeshadows. After hearing everyone and their dog rave about them, I had to get some of my own and check them out. I am really happy with the pigments and believe they are even more of a stand out item, but the eyeshadows are also of wonderful quality. When something gets SO much hype, I’m often a bit wary of it. After all, what is too good to be true often is, right?

All of the colors are very pigmented and worth the $6 price point that they cost in pan form. You can also buy shadows that are in a container, but those are $8 each. Since my plan was to fill up a small Z-palette, I went with pans.

The texture is comparable to MAC shadows in that they are easy to blend and have just the right amount of stiffness. They are not as soft as Urban Decay shadows (in my humble opinion, the masters of eyeshadow).

My favorite shade of the bunch right now is Cupcake, which is described as medium pink. On the website the pan looks almost orange. It is helpful to look up swatches before purchasing, and reading the reviews. I like Cupcake because it is so versatile! I have been using it as a transition shade and love how it pulls everything together. I don’t really have anything else like it either.

I am definitely planning on purchasing some more Makeup Geek eyeshadows in the future. Do you have any shade recommendations?
