Like many people in my age bracket, I was excited to hear that Jane Cosmetics was making a comeback. In the late ’90s when I was a teenager, I often purchased Jane from my drugstore makeup aisle and remember it being popular in the magazines. I purchased three shades of eyeshadow from the new release of the line: Shamrock, Passionflower, and Dusk.
All three of these shades are shimmers. Each shadow pan is embossed with this pretty floral design as well.

The pigmentation on all three shades is excellent. I think these are actually the perfect consistency for someone who is unsure of how to use and apply eyeshadow. They aren’t so pigmented that you will accidentally apply too much on the first try, and they build wonderfully. The texture is soft and silky, but not overly powdery. They blend easily and are not stiff at all.

Now that I’ve tried three of the shimmers, I really want to try the matte shades and some other products in the line, especially the bronzer and highlighter.
As for wear time, these shadows hold up just as well as my higher end ones with the use of a primer. If you have been reading this blog for awhile, you know that I’m a bit of a snob about eyeshadow from the drugstore since there are so few that I like. These have got to be the best for color variety and quality! These shadows are $8 each and I purchased mine from Ulta.
