Weekend Haul!

Hey guys! I had the BEST weekend! My friend from New York was in Detroit for a few days, so I headed down and spent Saturday night with him and another friend. We have known each other since elementary school, so it was SO great to hang out and catch up. Since he lives in NYC, we don’t see each other often! Sunday was also the Detroit Free Press Marathon. My sister-in-law ran the half marathon, so I got to cheer her on (more thoughts on that for Fitness Friday). Anyway, on my way down I stopped at a couple of malls and did some shopping. Here’s what I bought!

As seen above, I got some MAC goodies from the Saks Off 5th outlet: Azalea Blossom blush and Surf the Ocean crushed metallic pigments! I was SO excited about these, because I was lusting after them forever and not about to pay crazy inflated eBay prices. Patience paid off!

Nothing exciting here, but I bought two packs of makeup wipes: one from Pacifica, and one from Korres. I’m planning a HUGE makeup wipes post because I have seriously tried so many different kinds, and have some thoughts on them!

In Sephora, I got one of the new NARS eye paints in the shade Mozambique, and an Outrageous Prisma Chrome eyeshadow in Metallic Beige. I got a sample of the Marc Jacobs foundation too, so I can’t wait to test that out!

Lush…I went a little crazy in there, but I don’t live near a store, so I wanted to get a few things while I was there. Here’s what I picked up:

  • Tree tea toner tabs
  • Tea Tree Water toner
  • Ultrabland face cleanser
  • Imperialis face moisturizer
  • Bubblegum lip scrub

Already, I am hooked on Imperialis.

I stopped at Ulta to replenish my nearly empty bottle of Mario Badescu Cucumber Cleansing Lotion, and also picked up a full size of the Drying Cream (I had a sample and loved it). I rarely get blemishes, but when I do, this stuff is amazing for zapping them right away!

The Fossil outlet was having some CRAZY deals this weekend, and I got this amazing peach purse with owls all over it. It’s also BIG- I like huge purses!

I bought a few clothes items as well, like a dress from H&M, a lightweight running jacket, running leggings, and a couple of long-sleeved tops now that it’s getting colder out. Time to keep my wallet CLOSED for awhile, that’s for sure! I hope you had a great weekend too! 🙂

That is a wicked cool purse. How many purses do you have? You should do a purse blog/post. Like a look at all my cool purses type of a thing.

How strong would you say the Mario Badescu products tend to be? Because I have been thinking about trying them out, but I am an Extra Oily person. I am also not too overly pimply, but I get more than the occasional pimple or period pimple.

I have thought about doing a purse post…I have a lot of them! Maybe ten to fifteen? That might even be a low guess…

If you go to the Mario Badescu website and fill out this questionnaire, you will get an email based on your skin type a little later, and they will send you a bunch of samples according to your skin: http://www.mariobadescu.com/questionnaire.aspx

I like everything I have tried so far and find it very balanced!

Also super cool that you went to a Lush store. What is it like inside? Were there hippies? 🙂

Hahahaha…actually, they were pushier than I expected! I think I had four people waiting on me when I just wanted to shop. Still, they were very nice and it was easy to find what I wanted.

Here’s hoping for a review on the NARS Eye Paint, hehe. I’m eyeing that particular shade!
