While making an emergency caffeine run at Walgreens, I noticed that Wet ‘n’ Wild had a new holiday display. I’ve seen these palette shapes online, but my stores don’t usually get these, so I was excited to see the display and the new holiday selections. In addition to three eight shade palettes, there was a whole row of glitter palettes as well. I thought this palette was the prettiest, so this is what I picked up: No Neutral Ground.
Swatches in the shade
I love the color selection here. In addition to the matte brown, there’s an almost matte peacock green (seems like it has a slight hint of shimmer), forest green, khaki, purple (all shimmer), and a top row with three sheer glittery shades: pink, white gold/champagne, and yellow gold.
These shadows swatched really well. The top row is the most sheer, but I think these were meant to be overlay type shadows and not fully opaque. I love the khaki shade right smack dab in the middle of the palette. It is unique and really gorgeous! The peacock green color is also really pretty.
The texture of these shadows are a little more stiff than usual for Wet ‘n’ Wild, but in this case I think that is a GOOD thing. Usually their shadows are so soft that they break easily, and these seem sturdier, and swatch nicely.
I paid $5 for this palette, and for that price I am happy with the quality.
