There is a little “try it” kit out on the market right now from Too Faced called the “Primed, Poreless, and Perfected” kit. It’s only $15 and with my adoration of face powder, I couldn’t help but try it out. After all, I’ve swatched this several times at the store just because it is SO soft!
Instantly transform your skin by minimizing the appearance of pores, fine lines, and imperfections. This powder can be worn on bare skin, or under and over foundation to control shine, prep skin, and lock down makeup for a perfect finish on the go. The set-exclusive Petit Pouf Brush is made from cruelty-free, cashmere-soft Teddy Bear Hair and blends all powders, blushes, and bronzers beautifully.
This kit comes with a little kabuki brush and a generous sized powder. There’s a lot of product in this kit, and the brush is a major bonus. While in many cases bonus brushes are terrible, this one is fantastic. It’s very soft and I’ve been using it daily to apply Primed & Poreless to set my under eye concealer.
The powder is translucent on the skin, but has a slight beige tinge to it in the pot. Can I just say that this is the softest, most silky powder I have ever touched? I can’t believe how soft this is! It is SO easy to blend. I’ve worn this all over my face several times, and it does what it promises. It blurs pores and doesn’t look cakey at all. I do need to reapply in the afternoon, but that is pretty standard for any powder. I’m of the “freshen up” variety, especially before hubby comes home. 😉 I usually apply it with the Real Techniques powder brush.
I am the biggest fan of this for setting under eye concealer. It smooths out that area and blurs lines rather than settling into them. It makes my complexion fresher and brighter, and doesn’t give that nasty white cast that so many translucent powders tend to do. The Petite Pouf kabuki is too small for my entire face, but as mentioned, I love this little brush for the under eye area.
This little kit is an amazing bargain for $15 and is still available on Sephora’s website, which is where I purchased it.
Have you tried this powder? What do you think of it?
