Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

What is it about mascara that makes me want to try every single new one I see? Of course, I don’t do that, but when a mascara is called “Better Than Sex”, it must be good. Right? Well, I am a huge fan of Too Faced Lashgasm, so I really wanted to try this one too! I purchased a small size from Ulta and have been using it for a couple weeks now.

Claims (per Too Faced’s website):

Better Than Sex mascara includes:

  • Film-forming Polymer for smudge-proof, all day wear
  • Acacia Senegal Tree Extract to nourish, thicken and lock curl in place
  • Unique Peptides for the deepest, intense black possible
  • 1,944% more volume
  • 100% saw longer lashes
  • 100% saw dramatic volume
  • 93% saw base-to-tip curl
  • 8 out of 10 say it’s the best mascara they’ve ever used

The brush is hourglass shaped; it actually reminds me a little bit of the CoverGirl Flamed Out mascara brush, but this one is longer. The mascara itself has an amazing texture. It is lightweight; it almost seems “fluffy”. It is soft, conditioning, and doesn’t make my lashes feel crispy at all.

TF1One coat

Two coats

Three coats

This mascara is easy to build, but gets a little clumpy after the third coat. I haven’t experienced any flaking or smudging while wearing it.

I like how this makes my lashes look, but my favorite part of this mascara is the texture. I don’t feel like I’m damaging my lashes while I wear it, or while I remove it, since it’s easy to take off. I’m not going to run out and buy this when I run out of the mini size, but I would definitely purchase this mascara again!

The full size Better Than Sex mascara is $23; you can find a mini to try at Ulta for $12.
