LUSH Roots Hair Treatment Review!

I’m one of those people always looking for the latest and greatest when it comes to my hair. There aren’t many hair products that I have stuck with over time, but there are a few. Roots is definitely going to be one of those products!

Fine, thin hair? Don’t despair! We’ve got a hair and scalp treatment just for you. You’ll feel the tingling and cooling sensations of fresh mint infusion and minty oils (peppermint and spearmint) as they go to work revitalizing the scalp, because healthy hair starts at the roots! Extra virgin olive oil and honey soften and condition hair to make it shine without weighing it down. Give dull, fine and thin hair volume and shine by treating it with Roots.

My hair isn’t thin, but it is fine and tangles easily. I haven’t been impressed by any clarifying shampoos I’ve tried either. Because my hair is long, the ends are prone to being dry and split, so I use deep conditioners at least one per week. I usually wash my hair every other day and avoid heat when I can to keep it healthy.

Roots has a pretty shine to it; it looks like a milky liquid pearl in the container. It smells minty and has a soft, silky consistency. This is a vegetarian product, but not vegan, as it contains honey. This is a product where you definitely need to read and adhere to the directions. Leave it on for the time that is recommended, or even longer depending on what your hair is like/how much you have. The directions state to massage it into the scalp for 15-20 minutes and shampoo/lightly condition after if needed (I don’t).

An exception to the directions is the amount. Lush recommends 1/4 of the pot for short hair and 1/2 of the pot for long hair. My hair is long and I don’t use 1/2 of the pot. I use maybe a quarter of the pot when I apply it to my entire head, and sometimes I just massage a bit onto the scalp and on the ends of my hair. I love how tingly it feels on my head; I feel like my hair is REALLY getting clean! It also makes my hair super soft, shiny, and fluffy looking when it’s dry. My second day hair also continues to look great when I use this.

The only con of this product is that it is expensive if you need a lot of product- this is $20 for 8.4 ounces. I think it is worth every penny and will purchase this again and again!

I basically use Roots to give my hair a healthy boost.

Oh my God. Roots is by far my favorite hair mask I’ve ever tried! I have a review on my blog as well!!! Too bad it’s so expensive!!!
I find that it works quite well even if you use a very little amount of product..of course, you won’t get the same results, but at least you can have a longer treatment over the weeks! 😀
