Wet ‘n’ Wild Fergie Lipsticks in Penthouse Sweet and V.I. Pink

Drugstore lippies are such a cheap thrill, aren’t they? For less than $5, you can often get a quick pick-me-up thanks to affordable brands like NYX and Wet ‘n’ Wild. These Fergie lipsticks from Wet ‘n’ Wild are only $3.49 and come in a huge array of shades from nudes to black. I have two pink shades: V.I. Pink and Penthouse Sweet.

Fergie1

Penthouse Sweet is a bright, blue-based pink. It is SO pigmented that it is easy to go overboard. One swipe is definitely enough! These have a semi-satin, semi-matte finish and have good staying power (at least a few hours without a lip liner).

Fergie2V.I. Pink is a cool-toned, milky pink shade. For people wanting that type of shade from MAC but don’t want to shell out $15 for a lipstick, this is a good alternative. The coverage is excellent and it isn’t streaky.

Fergie3

I love these lipsticks and am really impressed with them. Of the two shades, it’s hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I would go with Penthouse Sweet. 🙂 I don’t find these particularly moisturizing, but they aren’t super drying either.

My ONLY gripe with this lipstick line is the packaging. I can deal with tacky; after all, it’s a $3 lipstick, but when removing the cap or putting it back on, it seems like I always take a chip off of the lipstick with the cap. It’s just a matter of being more careful, but it’s something worth noting!

What do you think of this lipstick line? What are your shade picks?

I love wet n’ wild products, but for some reason it seems like they’re jacking up their prices since Fergie has started working with them. I mean a $3 lipstick is still dirt cheap but hopefully the prices don’t go up anymore!
