Almay is one drugstore brand that has always underwhelmed me in the drugstore. Two of their most raved about products do not work for me: Get Up and Grow mascara (smudgy mess), and the eye makeup remover wipes (too greasy). I picked up this concealer just before Christmas; it was one of those totally random purchases! Almay claims that this helps the skin “look flawless with a natural glow.”
There are only three shades that this comes in: Light, Light/Medium, and Medium. This is a terrible selection of shades, so if you have a deeper skin tone, this probably won’t work for you.
What caught my eye originally is that this concealer reminded me of my beloved MAC Pro Conceal and Correct palette, which I use every day. It also reminded me a little bit of Eve Pearl’s famous salmon concealer.
The texture of this isn’t as creamy as the MAC concealer, and Eve Pearl salmon concealer is more creamy than both of them. The Almay concealer is thin and not as easy to blend as MAC. Still, this little concealer duo is $10 compared to $40 for the MAC palette, so if you’re on a budget, that is something to consider.

If you’re looking for light touch ups to cover mild redness and some general color correcting, this is a decent little palette. I actually kept it in my purse throughout Christmas because I had been suffering from some very dry, red skin due to the cold weather. I loved this for touching up during the day.
I think this concealer is best for someone who is looking for light to medium coverage and nothing heavy duty. Since I usually wear sheer to medium makeup, this works for me.
