Soft Sunset Eye Tutorial

E8

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought it would be fun to do an eye tutorial that involves some PINK! 🙂 I used MAC shadows for this tutorial, but also quite a few drugstore items for the finished result. Let’s get started!

E1

First, I applied Perky paint pot all over my lid as a primer, and then used Samoa Silk as a transition shade. I applied Samoa Silk all over the lid and up to the brow bone (not all over the brow bone- stop at the crease). Peach Smoothie from Makeup Geek is a good dupe for Samoa Silk.

E2

Next, I applied Sushi Flower to the outer 2/3 of the lid, and Soba to the other 1/3 of the lid, blending into Sushi Flower.

E3

I worked Folie into the crease; because my eyes are so deep set I went a little above the crease.

E4

Next, I used Phloof! on the brow bone and blended out Folie. Phloof! is really pigmented, so just a touch is needed!

E6

To finish the eye, I used Jane water resistant eyeliner in Brown on the inner rim and upper lash line, followed by Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Voluminizing mascara in Black.

E7

E10Here’s what I used on the rest of the face:

Revlon Photoready Foundation in the shade Nude
MAC brow pencil in Spiked
MAC Beauty Powder in Her Own Devices
MAC Whisper of Gilt EDSF (highlight)
NARS Laguna Bronzer
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
Maybelline Fit Me concealer in Light
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
MAC Pure Zen lipstick
Kat Von D Lock ‘n’ Load setting spray
MAC Pure Zen lipstick

E9

That’s it! This didn’t take very long to do and I love the soft, warm colors. 🙂
