I realize Josie Maran’s Argan Oil products have been talked to death, but I thought I would throw my two cents out there! 🙂 It actually took me awhile to get into argan oil. I originally had a small bottle from a kit. I used it on my face, but felt it was too heavy for me. I put it aside, and eventually started using it on my hair, which is what I prefer the regular argan oil for. Next, I purchased a small bottle of the “light” version for my skin.
Argan oil has many uses, which you can find in the product description from Sephora:
This 100% Pure Argan Oil is a legendary oil that’s rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and grown organically in Morocco. With its multitasking benefits, Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin, as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles. It’s gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne. Argan Oil easily absorbs into skin to give you a youthful, dewy glow, and has astonishing healing, conditioning, and antiaging properties to keep your skin and hair nourished and revitalized and to keep you looking beautiful from head to toe.
One thing to note is Josie Maran’s version is PURE oil. You may find cheaper brands of argan oil that are loaded with other ingredients, so if you do want to take that route, always check what else it contains!
The light argan oil is my new facial moisturizer. It makes my skin feel so soft and look healthy, and it isn’t too heavy feeling under my makeup. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t make me look or feel greasy. If the original argan oil was too heavy for you as a moisturizer, I highly recommend trying the light version. I actually purchased the large bottle, that is how much I like it!
I’m not sure if I will purchase the large size of the regular argan oil when I finish my smaller bottle, but it is a possibility. My hair is long, so I’m always concerned with split ends. The oil makes my hair look and feel shiny and healthy!
What do you think of argan oil? Are you a fan of the Josie Maran brand, or have you branched out to other brands?
