ELF Eyeshadow Transformer

The ELF Eye Transformer is a set of four eye shadow “enhancers”. Meant to be worn in conjunction with other colors, these are VERY sheer and not that pigmented, because they aren’t supposed to be.

Convert your shadows into brand new shades with these four opalescent shadows. Wear alone, under, over or in combination with your other makeup. The opal tones transform your dark color into a new shimmering hue.

I thought this sounded intriguing, and purchased mine from ELF’s website. There are a lot of mixed reviews on the website; however, I think this may be due to not understanding how to use it.

There are four shades, though they may all look the same on first glance: green, peach, pink, and blue. They don’t look like anything special in the pan, but again, these are “transformers”.

Here they are swatched over MAC’s Blackground paint pot. As you can see, they really pop when used over a coordinating color! I’ve used the blue one the most, usually over brown or bronze.

You can also use this for highlighting the brow bone or inner corner; if you’ve made a mistake with your eyeshadow that doesn’t look quite right, just blend a shade into it and problem solved (speaking from experience!). You can wear them alone if you want something really sheer.

This is one of the best products ELF has come up with, and I’m really happy I decided to try it out! This is from the Studio line, so it’s just $3. I haven’t seen this in stores yet, but you can find it on the ELF website.

This is great! I never knew something like this exists! I wonder how there look like if worn on other shades 🙂

I didn’t either, but I keep seeing palettes with “transformer” shades! They look good over sooo many colors. My favorite so far has been green. 🙂
