NARS Sexual Healing Lipstick Review!

About a month ago, I started my new job. At the end of the first week, I did some shopping to celebrate, and of course I went to Sephora! One of the items I picked up on that trip was this lipstick from NARS: Sexual Healing. I don’t have anything like this shade and find it quite unique. I will say that although this isn’t a shade for everyone, I really love it!

Described as “metallic peachy rose”, it does have a bit of frost to it. I’m not quite sure what drew me to this lipstick. I didn’t look at any swatches online, but I liked how it swatched on my hand in the store. I knew the coloring was flattering on my skin, but THAT FROSTY? Was I ill?

Surprisingly, the frostiness isn’t bad. It looks more like reflective sun since it is so warm, rather than a silver that grays out the skin. The texture is great, it is nicely pigmented, and it lasts for a few hours on me before needing a touch up.

I LOVE this color and it hasn’t left my purse since I purchased it. That said, this shade isn’t something everyone is going to love, so I recommend going to a store to swatch it first.

What are your favorite NARS lipsticks?

That is pretty frosty. Not bad though! I have a frosty NYX lipstick that I happen to love. I still have NARS Niagara lipstick, New Lover & Happy Days gloss pencils on my wishlist.

Yeah, it is way more frosty than I usually wear. I think the peach balances out the frost! The MAC frosts I have are barely frosty at all. NARS…sometimes I wonder what isn’t on my wishlist from them! 😀
