MAC Prep + Prime CC Color Correcting Powder in Neutralize

MAC recently released a collection of color correcting powders in both the loose and pressed variety. The collection also includes a cream form. Each medium has four shades: yellow (neutralize), peach (adjust), lavender (illuminate), and apricot (recharge). I purchased the loose powder in the yellow neutralize shade, which helps to even out redness.

The texture of this powder is divine. It is described as “weightless”, and it really feels that way. It is like whipped air that happens to be powder until it is touched with a brush and applied to the skin! Between this and Too Faced Primed and Poreless, it’s tough to pick a winner in the softness department.

I’ve been using this on areas on my face that are prone to redness, mostly on the bridge of my nose and the tops of my cheeks. So far, I like it. It does help with the redness, and it just melts into the skin.

This powder practically blends itself; it’s that soft and silky! I’m really happy with this powder and have been reaching for it daily. It never cakes up and will work with many types of brushes. I usually reach for a medium-sized brush, like the Real Techniques contour brush.

Have you checked out this collection? I’m curious about the lavender shade!
