As mentioned previously, I did manage to squeeze in a trip to Sephora while I was on my work trip to NYC. It helped that it was really close to my hotel, and once I was there for a couple days it was easier to figure out my way around. Anyway, this store is two stories and has tons of brands that my little tiny Sephora doesn’t have, so it was fun to just look around and swatch things.
First up, the Sephora Classic Must-Have Powder brush, #30. I’ve wanted this for SO long! I love how huge it is. I actually grabbed this at the last minute on my SECOND Sephora trip of the day (I went back later since I didn’t have much time the first trip).
I picked up a couple of fragrances: a Flowerbomb mini set, and a rollerball of the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black perfume, which I love! I usually get a rollerball if it’s available, and decide later if I want a full size bottle of a perfume.
After trying to resist, I got the Kat Von D Esperanza palette. It’s just so pretty, and I’ve been into brights lately. Palettes are my weakness…
I also picked up a sample of the Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Cream foundation in the shade Buttercup. I have no idea if this will be a good match for me. The shade is described as “medium beige with yellow golden undertones”.
I needed a red lipstick for work and didn’t pack one, so that was a good excuse to pick up the NARS lip pencil in Cruella. I was going to get Dragon Girl, but it was sold out, and I opted for this one. Can I just say OBSESSED? This is incredible and I will be writing a more thorough review of it later!
I also redeemed some of my points for the Julep Freedom polymer top coat. I hope it works!
Have you tried any of these items? What do you think of them? 🙂
