BH Cosmetics Pop Art Brush Set

When I saw the BH Cosmetics Pop Art brush set, it was just too cute to pass up. The first time around I did, but eventually I went back to the website and ordered them during a sale. I’m so happy that I did, because I really love this little set! It comes with ten brushes, plus a brush holder that is similar to Sigma’s brush sets with the snaps on the sides.

BH2I really like the canister and know it will come in handy! The brushes include:

  • Power brush
  • Angled blush/powder brush
  • Foundation brush
  • Complexion blending brush
  • Flat complexion brush
  • Tapered eyeshadow brush
  • Fluffy angled eyeshadow brush
  • Angled liner/brow brush
  • Lip brush
  • Spoolie brush

The brushes are synthetic and ultra-soft, not scratchy whatsoever. The spoolie is really sturdy- I always appreciate a nice spoolie brush! I really LOVE the powder brush; it’s perfect for blush and bronzer, and the angled blush brush is fantastic for blush or contouring. I’ve also been using the flat brush for foundation, and it leaves a nice finish.

I haven’t had any problems with shedding so far. One area where I think this set is lacking, is that there isn’t really a great brush for packing shadow onto the lid, like a flat shader brush. To solve this problem, I just use the lip brush for that since it is so small. At the same time, I can just pop my MAC 239 in here and call it a day. The brushes are not labeled either, but this isn’t something that bothers me.

This set retails for $24.95 at BH Cosmetics. I purchased it for $13 on sale, so definitely watch for it to be marked down, especially since shipping is a little expensive: $7 (still not as much as priority mail actually costs though, so not bad). That said, I DO think this is worth $25 and I would totally pay that much for it.

Have you tried any BH Cosmetics brushes before?

I love how they look and how the set is packaged but it’s hard for me to use anything besides my Real Techniques brushes.
