It has been GORGEOUS outside lately (meaning above 20 and real live sunshine). I’m in the spring spirit and have been gravitating toward brights for a few weeks now. I decided to put this Coastal Scents 36 Smoky Palette to use since quite honestly, I hadn’t used before this! Still, aren’t the colors lovely? The quality is decent for a palette of this size. I also used a new MAC pigment, Lily White. This is currently sold out online, but you may be able to find it at counters.
I also used the blue eyeliner pencil from Chella in the shade ‘Indigo’, that came in my Ipsy bag this month. I have to say that I am impressed with it.
Here’s what I did to create this look. The shades I used are marked with an X. It’s very easy!
1- First, I applied the shimmery green shade all over the lid (I did use a primer first).
2- Next, I picked up a little of the Lily White pigment and sprayed some MAC Fix+ onto it. Then, I started working from the inner corner of my eye into the middle.
3- After packing on a little more of the shimmery green color, I used a fluffy blending brush to blend away the line, making them mesh more.
4- With the same fluffy brush, I picked up a bit of the matte brown color and blended very lightly into the crease.
5- Taking another shadow brush, I blended the matte Kelly green shade on the lower lash line and up around the outside of the eye to meet the other shadows, staying close to the lash line.
6- With the same fluffy brush, I picked up a bit of the matte white color and blended over the brow bone, and touched up any areas that didn’t seem blended enough.
7- Using the Chella liner, I lined the upper lash line only.
8- Finally, I applied a pair of Red Cherry 747s lashes, which are very subtle.
I’m definitely planning on using this palette more this spring; the possibilities are endless! 🙂
