BA Star is a beauty brand that caters to performers in cheer, dance, and stage. Because of this, they need to be pigmented and vibrant, and stay on. I was sent the Spicy Natural palette to try from Brandbacker, which includes a primer sample as well. BA Star offers 9 different types of these palettes, ranging from brights to smokey palettes.
These are very affordable palettes; this one is just $3. The texture of the shadows is very nice; they’re smooth and easy to apply, but they do have a little bit of fallout. They are pigmented and last all day long with a good primer.
I really like that their products are sweat resistant. I find this to be true and tested it out on a run. I don’t put makeup on to go running, but I don’t always take if off before I go if I’m already wearing it, either.
While I like the shadows, the primer is not for me. It works, but I’m just not a huge fan of the consistency of it, but it does work.
In the pan, the shadows come across as being very glittery and frosty. They do have sparkle and shine, as one would expect for people in the performing industry, as these finishes are supposed to be dramatic and truly pop! That said, I think it is possible to tone it down too, thanks to the color range in this palette.
My favorite shades in this palette are the bronze….and orange… and yellow! It’s too hard to pick! I think this is going to be really great in the fall months. 🙂
