May 2014 Ipsy Bag!

IPSY

Another month, another Ipsy bag! This month’s bag is themed “Fresh Picks”. Isn’t the bag pretty? This is definitely one of my favorite bags and the quality is nice too. Here’s what’s inside:

Olive Lips Refreshing Rosemary Lip Balm– I don’t really care to receive lip balms, and it seems like I’m always getting them in Ipsy. This one is okay, but nothing special.

Hang Ten Classic Sport SPF 50 sunscreen– I love how cute the packaging is on this. Sunscreen is useful, and this is made by Coola, whose sunscreen I already love and purchased because of Ipsy.

Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water for sensitive skin– Water in a spray can. I don’t know why but this makes me feel fancy for some reason. Perhaps because it is French!

Pacifica Natural Beauty Eye Duo– This little duo surprised me. While I love Pacifica shadows, I didn’t think this looked particularly special in the pan, but the pale pink shade on the left side is actually a very unique duochrome shadow!

Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask– I always like to try something new on my hair, so I’m sure I will get good use out of this and maybe find a new favorite. I’ll probably use this while traveling.

I know a lot of people were let down by their Ipsy bags this month. I wasn’t WOWED by it, but the products are useful- the biggest dud was definitely the lip balm.

Do you want to join Ipsy? It’s only $10 per month and they are always spoiling subscribers with amazing full-size products and samples. Just letting you know, you have lost a faithful reader with your “sent for review posts”. The last four have all been those and I can’t respect that. Why should I buy an expensive product that I can’t be guaranteed actually works when the reviews are paid for? That isn’t cool. You can reply that your opinions are honest, but when things come for free that isn’t believable.

I don’t expect people to buy things based on my reviews. I simply say whether I like them or not. I’m sorry you feel that way, but you’re certainly entitled to your own opinions.
