MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection Haul!!!

Hello! It feels like I’ve been waiting forever to post this haul since I had to wait to order a couple things from Nordstrom, but I am REALLY excited about it!! 🙂

MAC devotees may know that their recent collection, Alluring Aquatic, was highly coveted and basically sold out in minutes. I was actually waiting for it to launch, and then I decided forget it and hopped in the shower. Forty minutes later (after showering and getting ready), the collection had launched and nearly everything was sold out! The bronzers were gone, the blushes were gone…then I had a lipstick in my cart and it sold out before I paid. I think this launch may have been as crazy as the Marilyn Monroe collection. It all worked out though, since it helped me figure out what I truly wanted!

Here’s what I ended up with:

127 Brush– I ended up getting both brushes with this collection. I have the 128 brush and really like it, so I had to get the 127. I love the shape of this one too.

233 Brush– This is a dual sided eyeshadow brush. I’ve already used it and am loving it so far.

Silver Sun Extra Dimension eyeshadow. I definitely made the right color choice. I love it!

The makeup bag! Usually I don’t go for bags from MAC, but this one is seriously gorgeous! It’s incredibly soft too.

Up close detail

This bag was perfect for going out of town over the long weekend and fit everything I wanted to take without a problem.

My favorite of this collection is definitely Water Deities lipglass. The MAC formula has changed a bit, and this is a lot less sticky than previous formulas. Also, the color is simply amazing. I ordered a back up, and I NEVER do that with gloss!

WDWearing Water Deities

Water Deities is a bronzed pink gloss with sparkling pearl. I wish it was permanent!

From Nordstrom, I ordered two items that were already sold out on MAC’s website: Pet Me, Please lipstick and Aphrodite’s Shell Extra Dimension bronzer.

AA3I will probably wear this as a blush more than a bronzer, but I love the texture and finish of the Extra Dimension line. This has a bit of pink to it. I struggled with what bronzer to get, but chose this one since I wanted to wear it as a blush.

Pet Me, Please is a re-released lipstick, and it is a pink frost shade. I like it and am really glad I picked this out of the bunch.

The detail on the packaging is so stunning. I love that it looks wet and the turquoise…you just can’t beat it!

Did you get anything from this collection? As a heads up, a lot of the lipsticks say “Coming Soon” on MAC’s website, so I’m assuming they might release more if you had your eye on them.

My favorites of the bunch are Water Deities and the makeup bag right now, but I haven’t had a chance to use the other items as much just yet. 🙂

This collection went SO FAST! I was at work and was like crap, I gotta order stuff and everything was sold out – it was like, 10am! So then I tried Nordies, but it was a busy day and I didn’t sit down to order until the afternoon and everything I wanted was gone there too! Every site I tried was sold out, but eventually it launched at and I was able to get what I wanted there. Yeesh! I ended up with 2 eyeshadows (Lorelei and Sea Worship), 2 lipsticks (Mystical and Goddess of the Sea), 1 lipglass (Clear Water) and a blush (Seduced at Sea). I think this is the most I’ve ever purchased from a MAC launch! Only Clear Water has arrived so far, but I have worn it every day!

Please please please let us know what you think of the brushes! I am looking for my HG blush brush and the 127 looks promising! I just don’t want to fork out $35 and not use it much!

I will let you know about the brush. I need to use it a few more times first and with some different types of blushes! 🙂 The good thing is the brushes never go quickly. I’m glad you were able to get some items you wanted! Clear Water is one I debated about…it is so pretty!!
