Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster Review

derma*Sent for review

When I was sent the Demalogica Skin Hydrating Booster for review from iFabbo, I was thrilled. My skin really took a beating this winter in terms of dryness due to the brutal weather. Being a runner, I’m also exposed to a lot of wind and the elements, so there are some areas of my face that are still quite dry as we get into the warmer months.

Super-saturated hydration for the driest skin conditions, this intensive hydrating fluid revitalizes parched skin. Hydrates, smoothes and minimizes fine lines with a concentrated blend of Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol, Glycolipids and Algae Extract to restore moisture balance. Contains no artificial fragrance or color. Professional recommendation advised.

This product retails for $56 for 1 ounce, so it is on the expensive side. At the same time, if you’re going to splurge, skincare is a good place to do it. I’ve read many reviews from Ulta and Dermologica’s website and the majority of them are positive.

The product is supposed to relieve “dryness and fine lines”. I wouldn’t really call this a wrinkle filler by any means- also, I’m not sure how fine lines would need “relief”. Dryness certainly calls for “relief”.

After using this for a few weeks, I can’t say that I see any change in fine lines, but it does work as a hydrating product. I use it on my nose, which is still a little dry after the winter. It allows dry areas to stay hydrated all day long without reapplying.  It doesn’t have any scent, it is very lightweight, and it is easy to dispense. It is also versatile in its use. It can be worn alone with just 6-10 drops for the entire face and neck area, or you can mix a little bit into your regular moisturizer.

Although this is expensive, it will last a long time since you don’t need to apply much to get the desired results. I truly wish I had known about this in the winter, because NOTHING was helping my dry skin.

Do you like this brand or have any other recommendations? I see it at Ulta when I’m there, but this is the first thing I’ve tried!

*iFabbo is providing a 15% off coupon code at Dermalogica with the code “BOOST” that is good for any booster purchase until May 31st, 2014. I do not receive any compensation. Opinions are my own.
