Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in Sweet Nectar

sun3

I mentioned quite some time ago that my BFF sells Mary Kay. I’ve placed a few orders with her, but I haven’t written about what I bought nearly enough, so that needs to change since I really like everything so far.

In my first consultation, she recommended this lipstick to me in the shade Sweet Nectar, thinking it was a shade I would like. Of course my bestie didn’t steer me in the wrong direction, and this shade is totally my style and color. 🙂

Sweet Nectar is pink with gold shimmer. It has a satin finish and glides right onto the lips. I love how comfortable this is to wear and it never drags while applying.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This long-wearing, stay-true formula glides on easily with a lightweight, creamy texture for rich color impact that lasts. Plus, it won’t feather or bleed.

  • Vitamin E and a vitamin C derivative help defend against wrinkle-causing free radicals.
  • Provides instant moisture.
  • Suitable for sensitive skin.
  • Clinically tested for skin irritancy and allergy.
  • Fragrance-free.

Many of these claims seem to be true, at least for me. The lipstick is moisturizing and doesn’t irritate my lips; it doesn’t have any scent, and it is lightweight. I don’t think it is particularly “long-wearing”, but has an average wear time (about three hours if I’m not drinking or eating anything).

Mary Kay Creme Lipsticks are $15 each and can be purchased from a Mary Kay consultant. I love that when I buy Mary Kay, I am supporting my best friend too! 🙂

Do you have any Mary Kay recommendations? I finally just ordered some eyeshadow and am really looking forward to trying them!

How funny – At first thought, it looked super frosty but it doesn’t look like that at all on you! Very pretty. The last time I purchased MK was a few years ago and I was sold on the Peach Satin Hands set & the medium coverage foundation. I haven’t tried anything since but I should… Coincidently, my MK friend was a co worker of mine in CA and when I moved to TX, I found that she lives in the same area as I do! Definitely need to reconnect.

I thought it was frosty when I first looked at it, but you’re right, on the lips it isn’t! I LOVE Satin Hands! It is so soft and nice! 😀
