Bare Minerals The First Resort Bronzer Set

Can I just take a moment to confess what a bronzer junkie I am when spring and summer roll around? When new bronzers get released, I’m always drooling over them. I purchased this Bare Minerals The First Resort makeup set at Ulta ($35).

Turn on the tan all year long. This 3-piece collection includes the most fabulous in bronzed beauty: bareMinerals READY® Color Boost for a naturally luminous, sun-struck look plus our Light Stroke Fan Brush for featherlight application. Top it off with Marvelous Moxie™ Lipgloss for a glossy coral pout and voila… you’re resort-ready in no time.

The sunlight is washing this bronzer out in the photo, but I like the combination of these shades. This set is called “The Beach is Waiting”. Yes, call me a sucker for the beach, but I love the name of this.

This palette is pretty easy to use while keeping the shades separately. The lip gloss is AMAZING. This is my first Marvelous Moxie gloss and the color is right up my alley. I mean, a hot coral? Yes, please! It is called “Party Starter”. I like the brush but I don’t find myself using it with this bronzer palette. Personally, I find that fan brushes are better for highlighting. You can highlight with the middle shade of this palette, so it works for that, but for bronzing alone, I prefer to use something that has the ability to apply with more control and pressure.

This is a great palette for travel due to the variety of shades; you could easily do a full face of makeup with this palette if used lightly! It provides a nice glow, but this is not my favorite bronzer, nor my first recommendation for one, but I do like it. It isn’t orange, which is always appreciated!

Party Starter (the gloss) is sold on its own- I would definitely repurchase it! 🙂 What do you think of this set?

  2. Thank you so much for this post! You dont know how hard it is to find swatches of this :”[ Thank you! Do you think it’ll work for medium to dark tones?

Medium for sure, dark is iffy. It’s in the same color family as NARS Laguna; not sure if that helps! 🙂
