First Impressions: Dior Hydra Life BB Creme

diorbb3

Dior Hydra Life BB Creme is designed to keep skin hydrated and radiant. At $56 USD, it better be good, right?

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Hydra Life BB Crème combines the moisturizing and protective powers of a skincare product with the immediate complexion-enhancing and even-toning properties of a foundation. The complexion is left moisturized, smooth, and velvety soft. This product provides active defense against environmental stress and broad-spectrum UVA and UVB SPF 30 protection. The ultrafine pigments and reflecting micro-pearl particles immediately embrace the skin to cover its surface with a halo of imperceptible color.

I appreciate the SPF protection, and I think most of the claims here are fairly accurate to my experience. It is hydrating and I loved how my complexion looked while wearing it.

The sample shade I had is the second in the line – Golden Peach, “medium with golden peach undertones”. This was a good match for me. Unfortunately, there are only three shades in the line, and they aren’t very dark, even though the last shade claims to be for “deep tan” skin tones.

The shade match of Golden Peach is similar to L’Oreal Lumi foundation in N3.

The texture of this BB cream is very velvety and soft. It was a joy to apply and if you get your hands on a sample, you will have enough for a few uses.

This BB cream had good staying power and leaves a radiant finish, although I don’t think those with oily skin will like it. Like anything else beauty related, I say get a sample to see for yourself!

This BB cream is a step above tinted moisturizers as well; coverage is comparable to Physicians Formula BB cream, which is not heavy, but not completely sheer either.

I like this BB cream but don’t see myself purchasing it since I have others to use up at the moment, but I might consider it in the future! πŸ™‚
