Urban Decay Anti-Aging Primer Potion

Urban Decay’s Primer Potion is a cult classic product in the beauty community. I believe it’s the most reviewed item on Makeup Alley! This year they released an anti-aging primer potion that is vegan and paraben free. I have 33-year-old eyelids, so I have to admit the anti-aging properties intrigued me. Plus, Urban Decay has a good reputation. What they claim is often true, at least a little bit.

This formula not only locks shadow in place to give you vibrant, crease-free color that lasts all day; it also measurably improves the signs of aging over time. High-tech ingredients fight wrinkles and improve tone and texture, while optical blurring pigments create a subtle, soft-focus effect that instantly wakes up tired eyes and minimizes the appearance of redness, crepiness and other imperfections.

I began using this deluxe sample back in March, so I had a lot of time to see if these claims were true. After three weeks of use, I definitely noticed my eyelids looked better. I experienced an improvement in the texture of my lids, as well as the appearance of them. I could see this becoming a holy grail item for me! I am actually quite self-conscious of my eyelids. Now that I’m writing out that sentence, I’m realizing how vain and stupid it sounds, but it’s true! I’m always oohing and ahhing over pretty eyeshadow looks, and find myself wishing mine were “nicer”, but hey, I’m in my thirties now.

This primer potion is highly moisturizing and does the job for making shadow stay. My skin feels great after I apply this. I never thought anything would replace Too Faced Shadow Insurance for me, but I think I will be sticking with Urban Decay with this product. I will repurchase this after I use up a couple of other primers.

Have you tried the anti-aging primer potion yet? What do you think of it?
