IT Cosmetics Vitality Face Disc in Live, Love, Laugh + Jumbo Heavenly Luxe Brush

QVC is my favorite place to buy IT Cosmetics, because you can always find the combination sets that include a brush. I would say that I usually get the sets FOR the brushes, and consider the makeup a nice bonus! The brush that comes with this set is $58 by itself, whereas if you purchase the set, it’s $48. The disc itself is $38.

The Vitality Face Disc is a much hyped about product, at least on YouTube.

Luxe High-Performance Anti-Aging Matte Bronzer, Luminating Radiance Powder, and Vitality Blush Powder Stain are all found in the Anti-Aging Live, Love, Laugh Vitality Face Disc. They’re packed with skin-loving ingredients such as peptides, hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed collagen, acai, and green tea, plus vitamins A, C, and E; and free of all the bad ingredients that make skin appear older, like talc.

The packaging is very slim and chic- it has the same rubberized matte texture as NARS packaging.

The disc itself is HUGE. Look at it in comparison to my face! That said, the packaging isn’t wasteful. The product is right to the edge, and there’s a huge mirror.

The bronzer is the largest portion of the disc, with the blush and highlighter being equally sized.

The back of the box offers recommendations for how to use it.

Swatch comparisons: IT Cosmetics, Smashbox Suntan Matte, MAC Sun Dipped, MAC Aphrodite’s Shell, Lorac Bronze (from the Pro to Go palette), MAC Refined Golden, NARS Laguna.

I did not do any swatch comparisons with the highlighter. While we’re on the subject, let’s talk about that first! 🙂 The highlighter is the worst product in this disc, at least in my opinion. It’s a little crumbly and not very smooth. The consistency is strange in that way because while it applies smoothly, when picking it up with a brush or swatching, it flakes. It is pretty and it works, but it is not the best highlight.

The blush is VERY pigmented, so I recommend using a light hand. The color is really pretty; I don’t have anything exactly the same. It is similar to MAC Fleur Power, but deeper and brighter, which is perfect for summer. Use a good blending brush- sometimes this is hard to blend, as the pigment drops into the skin and “catches”. That said, it really says put! This blush lasts all day long on my skin. It almost seems like a stain.

The bronzer is the best product in the disc; I’m happy since it makes up the largest portion of product. The color is a medium brown matte, not too dark and not too light for most skin tones. It is very smooth and not crumbly or powdery. It’s easy to build as well, so those who are very fair and worried about looking orange or uneven won’t have to worry. I would say it is most similar to MAC Refined Golden, only without the subtle sparkle.

The Jumbo Heavenly Luxe Mega-Brush was one of the big reasons I bought this set. I love IT Cosmetics brushes, but as mentioned previously, it is worth it to get a kit since they are so expensive on their own. This brush is $58 when purchased separately. This brush is BIG and the handle is long. I love how soft it is, and it is possible to use everything in the disc with this brush along. Surprisingly, I really like it for blush! I thought it would be too huge, but that is not the case.

This face disc is truly handy for traveling, since everything is in one compact. Plus, it’s nice and slim, so there’s no need to worry about it taking up a lot of space.

While I like the disc and the brush and don’t regret buying it, I won’t be jumping on the bandwagon to get another one if there are other colors, since this one is SO HUGE. It will take forever to use as is.

My recommendation is to swatch the disc in Ulta if you can, in order to get a feel for how it looks on your skin, and how the texture feels.
