When I posted my MAC Alluring Aquatic haul, I promised a reader that I would review the 127 brush! Now that I’ve had some time to use it and wash it, it is time to share my thoughts. I have a few other double-sided brushes from MAC and this one is definitely a favorite due to its versatility because of the shape.
This brush is flat, but comes to a tapered point. I’ve been using this for blush, bronzer, and highlighter all in one day, so it IS quite the workhorse! The tapered point is useful for precise bronzer application, and you could contour with it if you so wish (not something I do daily by any means). The tapered point also makes it easy to buff bronzer in around the hairline without bringing it too far down onto the forehead.
I also find the shape of this really great for blush. I don’t like when blush brushes are huge, and this is definitely a “just right” size for me. 🙂 This really fits my face and ensures that I don’t over apply product as well. I love using this with super pigmented products for this reason.
The 127 also washes well. I didn’t experience any bleeding or shedding, and I’ve washed it a few times now.
For everything this brush can do, I think it is well worth the $35 price tag. It is quickly becoming a favorite. If you don’t want to deal with a ton of brushes, you can do SO much with this! It is sold out on MAC’s website, but it is still available at Macy’s online, and likely at counters.
