July 2014 Favorites

WOW- July was an insane month for me. I’ve been busier now than I have been in a long time, but not in a bad way. Weekends book up fast in the summer, and the majority of them I’ve been spending out of town. Because of that, I’ve been living out of a weekender bag and have been all about “fast” makeup. Here’s what I’ve been going to this month:

Stila Stay All Day BB Cream– This isn’t pictured because I gave the rest of my tube to my sister since she liked it, but I wore this daily in July.

Urban Decay Naked Palette– Need I say more?

MAC Simmer blush– This is from last summer’s Tropical Taboo collection. I haven’t used it as much as I’d like, so I wanted to give it some love.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder– I really need to review this because I REALLY love this bronzer! I actually find it pretty unique compared to the other bronzers I have.

MAC Fix+ -Man, I love this stuff. I’m almost to the end of my bottle and I already ordered a new one. It is so refreshing and addictive!

Balea Nourishing Mud Face Mask in Cocoa & Shea Butter- I purchased this mask in Montreal at the end of March, and I just got around to using it. I was recently in Canada and I picked up another one (the only one left!) because I love it so much!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara- I finally bought the full-size of this mascara. This is holy grail material. I adore this stuff and it is worth the price tag!

My BIGGEST favorite this month are these little kittens, Emma and Einstein! They’re a recent addition to the family. Their mom was hit by a car, and since they are a bonded pair, they were up for adoption together. My sister was fostering them and I just fell in love with them. 🙂

What were your favorites this month?

I’ve just picked up Mac Fix + for the first time, but haven’t opened it yet. How do you like to use it best?

I foster kittens that show up in my b ackyard!! This year was the first that I tamed them compleltely ouside without separating them from their mother. They come indside thru a cat window to eat and play, and go outside whten they want to play and nurse. They have been my favorites this July. I have fostered many litters and have a hard time getting them adopted because I am not working thru a shelter but doing it on my own. I applaud you and your sister for your efforts at helping the cat population. I have lost several to cars as well, but cannot keep all that are tame but have not been adopted inside. I have a cat nursury/hotel (former nanny’s room when I was working full time OB/GYN), and if they don’t get adopted, they get a collar with our name and address and are allowed to go in and out. We are too allergic to allow them to roam the house freely, and if they could, we would be overtaken!! I have noticed a definite correlation with beauty lovers and animal lovers (mostly cats but some dogs), if you read the blogs I’m sure you’ve noticed the same thing. Maybe they are on the same gene or something. Anyway, I’m loving MAC’s Sharon Osbourne collection and Estee Lauder’s Invisible foundation, but I”m loving these guys more. I’m terrible at transferring pix from camera to computer or I’d post pix for you guys to see and maybe fall in love with. Maybe my fabulous daughter will hellp me later. Meanwhile, kudos to you and your sister, and I wish you many years of happiness with your two new additions!!!

Thanks so much for the kind words, Ellen! It is so frustrating to see how many kittens (and puppies) are born out of sheer irresponsibility, especially when they can’t find homes! 😦 I haven’t tried the EL Invisible foundation! I definitely need to try some more from EL!
